It's really not a sickness when you catch the bug. You look upon a quilt and feel your heart a-tug.
You suddenly get the urge to try your hand at such, and see how a quilt might look made with your own special touch.
You piece a block together and cannot seem to stop. You want to keep on sewing till you've finished the top.
You put the layers together and start your needle through. You finally get the hand of it, even though its new.
Now you're really hooked for you are the receiver of a fateful case of "Quilting Fever!"
- Charlotte Pierce
Get the thermometer. Heat up the chicken soup and pop the cap off the Nyquil 'cause I've caught the bug! Is this something that is going around? Are any of you experiencing the same symptoms?
You know, loss of sleep due to late-night rotary cutting?
Headaches and dizziness due to thinking of the dozens of ways to put your own spin on an already gorgeous pattern?
Loss of interest in anything that doesn't involve stacking and re-stacking little piles of squares just because they're so pretty?
Stiffness of the hands and wrists due to marathon snipping sessions?
Now, there are several of you out there who could have given me this bug. I'm not going to name names- you know who you are! I just have one thing to say to you-
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
