Some think the dazzling display of technicolor leaves announces the annual arrival of fall. For me, it's the unmistakeable 'thud' of the Semptember issue of Vogue on my coffee table. Once again, this year's curated lovely doesn't dissapoint. If you've never seen this documentary following the iconic magazine's editors as they put together this issue, you must take a peek! If you are at all interested in fashion, publishing, styling or design in general, there is so much to learn from this voyage into the world of Vogue. Then take a look at these vintage September covers- oh, how things have changed!
It's been a bit since I participated in the weekly fun that is Illustration Friday. So here's my little ditty inspired by these lovely ladies from Tom Binns. The theme this week is "Secret". I can't imagine anything I'd rather have whispering 'round my ear. You?
I remember being captivated by Cynthia Rowley's Greek Revival townhouse when it first graced the pages of Elle Decor magazine in 2008 (the issue still sits on my shelf). I was thrilled to see photos of the chic abode resurface in the current issue of the always-well-done Matchbook Magazine along with a conversation with Cynthia about sewing, growing up in the midwest and what it takes to balance a family with building her iconic brand.
If you haven't yet found the time to wander the web in search of more of the fantastic online magazines that are now available, here are a few of my favorites with which to spend the odd quiet moment...
Feel free to link to anything on my blog. Actually, please do! Just shoot me a quick e-mail to let me know. Have a blast with the projects- but please limit them to your personal use and don't sell my original patterns or the completed projects you've made from them- Thanks!
